What Time Is It?

  • 1 Count the minutes on the clock by groups of 5. Label each group of 5.

    A clock without hands. The first set of 5 minutes is labeled “5.” The second set of 5 minutes is labeled “10.” The third set of 5 minutes is labeled “15.”

Read each clock. Record what time it is.

  • 2 A clock with the hour hand pointing to “2” and the minute hand pointing to “2.” A blank digital clock.

  • 3 A clock with the hour hand pointing between “2” and “3” and the minute hand pointing to “8.” A blank digital clock.

  • 4 A clock with the hour hand pointing between “2” and “3” and the minute hand pointing to “6.” A blank digital clock.

  • 5 A clock with the hour hand pointing between “2” and “3” and the minute hand pointing to “7.” A blank digital clock.

NOTE

Students label a clock and practice telling time in 5-minute intervals.
