Quick Images

Play Quick Images with your family. You need at least one other person. Any number of people can play.

  • 1 Choose one of the Shape Cards (C14).

  • 2 Show the shape and count slowly to 5. Then hide the shape. The other people try to draw the shape.

  • 3 When they are ready, show the shape again and count to 5. (No one should draw while looking at the picture!) Then hide the shape. Give them time to change their drawings if they want to.

  • 4 Then let everyone look at the shape. Talk about the ways people tried to remember the shape.

Choose another shape. Take turns being the person to show the shape and the person to draw it.

NOTE

Quick Images helps students develop a mental image of geometric shapes. Students also practice drawing familiar shapes.
